This is a story of friendship.
We are a group of doctors and professionals from Turin (Italy) who decided to devote part of their time to help those who do not have access to free healthcare in the world.
We operate in Myanmar because is of the countries with the highest poverty rate in South East Asia, in dire need of healthcare support.
Since 2016 we are present in the southern part of Myanmar, close to the Thalandian border, where only a few NGOs operate. These territories are threatened by several social problems such as human traffic, illegal drug market and high rate of H.I.V. patients without proper help.
MedAcross works every day to provide effective medical help in the Kawthaung district, helping people who cannot access the regional health care system. For this reason, we have created a Basic Health Clinic where we treat patients for free and a Mobile Clinic that reaches the isolated patients who live in villages and plantations without proper roads to connect with the city.
